Where does this rubber plug go??
So I found this rubber plug laying in my garage, and I have no idea from where it came. The part numbers are really too small to make out, but I think it's part no. 999 928 01840. But the 8's could be 9's and vice versa.
Here's one pic:

well i tried looking it up on PET, no luck though. For some reason i think it looks familiar. I would just check the entire under carriage and see if there are any holes

Hi,
Could this be the cap that covers a **** on the inside of the leading edge of the door. Which is depressed when the door shuts to turn off the interior lights.
Tito.

Eric,
Kim is right (as usual). Bottom of the door (could be either one). Towards the front of the car, almost to where the hinge area is. You'll see a drain. This is the plug that goes in there. It's kind of a 'one way' flapper valve to allow water to weep out the bottom of the door and prevent dirt and junk from spraying into the door.
There is one on the RH and LH sides and they pull out pretty easy if you wash the car and run a towel or sponge along the bottom of the door.
Lay on your back and look up at the bottom of the door (forward) and you'll see where it goes.

I knock one of these off every time I clean the under side of the door.

Great, thanks a lot guys. That makes sense, since I think it fell out around the time I was waxing it. I seem to be missing both, which is why I couldn't figure it out. Anyone know the correct part number? I got a magnifying glass and still can't read it.
