Default First 993: 1998 C4 Cabrio

Hi all, first time poster.

I just bought this little guy last week. Pearl white, one owner, 38,068 miles, six speed manual.

It's been sitting under a cover in an underground garage for 10 years in SoCal.

Just thought you might appreciate how dirty a car can get sitting for years in even the most pristine of conditions.

Finally checked my halo car box!! Now bring on the bills.

Welcome! C4 cabs are the best! That looks a really fine example! Any pics of the interior? Options it has? Go drive it!

I see a full detail in your near future.... Welcome to the group!

I spy some sliver calipers, post a picture of the option list (or list the option codes) under the hood once you get a chance.

Amazing! There has to be an interesting story behind that one. (Jail?, Thinking of Eddie Murphy) Pearl White was a very expensive option.

Very nice. Ten years - how did you find it?
Also, why 2 Tip shifters for a MT? In fact, why 2 Tip shifters for a Tip?

Wow!! This will be fun to clean up. Modern equivalent to a 'barn' find?!

Thanks for the welcome!

It was purchased new by a physician in San Diego who drove it to his practice for a few years before retiring and parking it permanently. (Turns out that the Mercedes was easier to drive in his dotage...)

FWIW, it also has the all the carbon fiber interior bits.

I'm in Colorado and the car is in transit this week, so sorry no pics available until it arrives.

If you don't mind my asking, what is meant by, "2 Tip shifters for a MT? In fact, why 2 Tip shifters for a Tip?"

Thanks for the time.

According to the build sheet that you attached it lists 2 Tiptronic shifter as standard equipment...

Oh, I see.

I didn't attach that build sheet, that was from another member. This one is definitely a manual.

I was trying to decipher the context of the question from the photos I attached.

All the original paperwork including the window sticker is coming out in the glove box.
