Wheels upgrades... thoughts?
Hi guys - it's time for a new set of tires on the C2S and started thinking of wheel optons as well. I actually like the 17" Cups that came stock on it but a couple of BBS options recently presented themselves. Thoughts anyone?

Well now....
I have had much grief with O-Z Allegrittas...they are easily bent. I didn't hit anything and I didn't slam the "Gators" at the track. I bought new wheels to replace the bent one(s), lost my *** on the sale. They were so bad that I was getting replacements for wholesale...about $300 a wheel. Enough said.
MY 2002 996 wheels, 32mm spacers, that's too much cantilever for me. These wheel too are prone to bending. I have had at least 5 sets over the years. Replaced at least three wheels...don't like the idea of repairing them...heat, etc.
I just got a set of Fikse, Mach V I believe, forged centers and spun aluminum inners and outers. The came from a Rennlister...Gawd these wheels are beautiful, and light too. Paid $1,650 for them...worth every penny. I still have two (2) sets of MY 2002 996 wheels, one for the street, one for the track. They appear to be straight, for the time being.
Why not a set of hollow Turbo Twists in WB rear off set? There is a set in the classifieds for about $900, what a steal.

I gotta say, I think the twists look just right on WB cars. They have a simple and clean design that is very complementary to the lines of the 993. The BBS and similar multi spoke wheels are nice but to me, look too busy for 993's.

BBS cups look very wrong to me - in trying to get a deep-dish look, the center of the wheel pokes out - ugh.
BBS multispoke look good, and you can source a 17" OE set which is also one of the lightest rims you can buy.
I also have MY02, and have for many years - no bending or any damage of any kind, and the roads where I live are in poor condition.

Biased but I'm a big fan of BBS myself, especially LMs, E28/88s. RUFs on my top list too
Favorite factory wheel is the 18" twists, as stated above on WB that's just right to me.
It's an addicting slippery slope Zeus!

Agreed. BBS LM's, RUF's or OE Turbo Twists. I stumbled onto a deal on RUF's and pulled the trigger, they and the LM's were tough to come by when I was looking.
