OT...anyone know this SWEET (Beck) Porsche 550 ??
I know it is not a 993 but we can all appreciate the 550's beauty. This is one of the nicest 550 replicas I've seen.
I've always had a very special place in my heart for the 550 Spyder. Any thoughts on it would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Unlike the real thing, replicas tend to depreciate or remain flat over time, rather than appreciate, since there is an infinite supply of newer, nicer ones being built. That said, Beck is recognized as making the best 550 Spyder replicas. Be careful dealing with Daniel Schmidt - they have quite a reputation.

"Do u mean 'trending up' in price? Have 550 replicas been moving up in price lately?" No, I mean that this particular dealer has arbitrarily inflated the price. "Be careful dealing with Daniel Schmidt - they have quite a reputation." Sound advice...He learned "The art of the deal" from his father! Their vehicle write-ups were...and still are...laughable. They read like the J. Peterman catalog (a La Seinfeld)

Good point. NADA doesn't list Beck.
Looking at Hemmings classified, they have six available with asking prices on five ranging from $31,900 to $39,950 and then an exact detail replica of the James Dean car with a movie history for $54,900.
I bought a zero miles Beck in 2001 for around $25,000 added a few visual goodies and sold it two years later for the same price.
I'd think if you looked around on some of the 550 Spyder discussion boards (There used to be two like Rennlist), you'd find a nice one cheaper than these.
