My trunk is becomming increasing difficult to close. I need to apply a lot of pressure to ensure that it closes tightly. I'm concerned that it may result in the lid getting scratched or dented.
Does anyone know how to adjust the lock to make it easy to close tight? The lid was off a couple of months ago for a respray - it was ok before then.
Thanks,

Defintely go back to the body shop. The hood and/or latch is misaligned. You know what it was like beforehand...that is what it whould be like afterward. ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

It's not the lock that determines the height of the trunk lid, it's the rubber stops at each front corner of the trunk opening - to the far left & far right of the lock mechanism. They adjust by turning (screwing) them in or out to the desired height. They are compressed when the trunk is closed. I suspect yours were turned by the body shop so they are too high causing too much resistance. Try turning them in a bit.
BTW, the location of the compressed stops is why I always try to close my trunk by pressing at the corners (above the stops) which is the area of most resistance, rather than from the crest/lock.
