Default FS: GT3 TEK 993 aero 1 rear spoiler "mini duck lip"

For sale is a new, never mounted rear spoiler for 993 fitment, previously offered by GT3 Tek, but now no longer available on their web site. This listing will be cross-posted to the Parts Marketplace forum.

I bought this a few years ago with the intention of painting it body color, but I've decided that I won't be moving forward with this modification in the near future and will be keeping my car stock in the aero department.

$270 USD shipped anywhere in the continental US or Canada; or $235 USD if picked up locally (Vancouver, Canada). Comes with heavy duty double-sided tape already applied by the manufacturer on the mounting surfaces, original packaging.

Below are photos from the former GT3 Tek online listing, when they still had them for sale:

Below is a photo of the spoiler mounted on another Rennlister's car -- not mine:

Am I the only one astonished by the aerodynamic dumbness of this spoiler? I mean, what is it trying to do at any speed when the main spoiler is up? Break the hinges? Cause it certainly doesn't serve any other function.

Someone tell these guys that their spoiler is "dumb" --

I'd wager that the majority of the aero effects on street driven 993's serve no function at the speeds they're used at other than looking cool and aero-y.

Thanks for the free bump though! Spoiler still available!

Majority of aero on street driven 993s comes free with the car. That wouldn't make this spoiler less aerodynamically dumb. Maybe that's why it was discontinued.

oh, an before posting unattributed pictures, you might want to read what people actually think about it: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=1090751 (search "spoiler").

Uhh, I don't think he's forcing anyone to buy it; he just put it up for sale.

Clearly, you're not interested. I think he gets that by now

I left out the credit for the photo above. I attribute it to Google search.

And no, I don't want to read what people actually think about it. This is not a discourse - at least not from me - about what is aerodynamically effective and what isn't. Frankly, I don't care. If it works or what you think about it.

This is a for sale thread. If you are not interested in the item, move along. Thanks again for the free bump though - spoiler is still available!

My comment is on aerodynamics only. I don't much care who sells what, PT Barnum has addressed that extensively.

This is a discussion forum. Get a clue. Don't ell me to move alone or anything else, I have just as much of a right to say what I think here as you do to try and hawk your parts.

No, not really. But I'm a former engineer.

OP, apparently, is selling a lot of stuff on Rennlist, so that's his contribution. Mine? None.
