Congrats mm on getting this done! Are you satisfied with the color ave texture match?
Thanks, yes I am. The color is so close, there's no need to replace the never-sat-in rear seats. The feel of this leather is buttery soft.
How's your project going?

Right down to the stitch count and perf pattern. Very pleased!
I decided to wait on getting the door armrests and pulls reupholstered until I saw how the seats looked. A full leather interior will now be the project for next winter.
However, today I am taking it back in to get the driver's side lower seat bolster beefed up. It is still a little too flat.

Long delay in response as my resto project remains stalled out on the exterior respray. Still planning on the full seat leather redux thanks to your find on the color match. Will repost when moving forward again.
Hi there, oldman40. As one who has a lot of experience in midnight blue, and Porsche blue leather interiors from the 993, 997 and 991 iterations, and am about to do it all over again with 992, I can report that the current blue interior (2022) is "Yachting Blue." Lovely. I think the key is getting symmetry in the same leather, once you resign yourself to surrendering what's left of the original and its patina. It's been a while, but there are probably few other 993's that have an earned a right to new leather more than '***305" March 24, 2011, more than 10 years ago.
makemann, you've done a beautiful job on your 993. The seats look fantastic. Enjoy. I drove the hell out of mine, and I still miss it. I've had 9 new Porsches, and will sell my 991.1 (2014) to get a 992, in the current "Yachting Blue," with the exterior in dark metallic blue. Looks like the old midnight blue.
