Default Back to the street (Well sort of)

I finally put together a listing of the current "MODS" on my car. I confess, the car is a bit noisy in the cabin for a street car, but a blast to drive on the street, and remarkable on the track. I have enclosed some pics and a pdf file of the mods as well. Please note, these mods have been a work in process since 2001, a year after I got the car and was bitten by the performance/mod bug.

• Heigo ½ Cage, with front section of the cage removed by Lance Aspesi (Lance is my go to guy, in spite of him being 4 hours from me each way),
• Strut tower connector,
• Rothsport Quick Release Steering wheel device & MOMO Model 30 250mm dia. steering wheel, with horn button, installed by Lance Aspesi, Van Nuys, CA, one (1) man shop, custom work, incredible quality

• H&R springs with tenders, 700 Lbs front, 900 Lbs rear (Steve Weiner),

• Wheels: Two (2) sets of 17” 996 ten spokes, one in hand and one on the way, and one (1) set of 18” MY 2002 996 wheels for the street.
• Complete respray in original color of GP White. After 19 years, it was time.
***After driving my car for 20 minutes at Buttonwillow Race way, Pro-Driver Cort Wagner recommend that I should only consider doing two things to my car, and that would be “washing and and waxing it..nothing more, don’t change a thing”, I was told.

And those pics, taken at Laguna Seca Raceway, December 2015, and yes, that Vette got around my poor little stock 993.

WOW! talk about sliding down the slope! that thing must go like a beast.

people sleep on our "agrarian" 911's. however, with some killer tweaks jack olsen turned a 1:26:xx at big willow! huh?!?!?!? AYFKM!!! to put that in its proper perspective r.pobst ran a 1:27:xx in a 991 GT3!! granted jack can drive, and that's his "track"....but STILL!!!!

hope to see your beauty at Luftgekuhlt IV or sooner!
