Default bought an intercomp timer and have questions

I just bought a used intercomp lap timer, and had a few questions before my upcoming DE at roebling. I know its common for someone to have a hotlap transmitter up, but will the intercomp read that signal? Will the hot lap guys false on my transmitter? The manual is also vague on height off the ground and distance from the track; how far up and away can it be? And finally, will rear window tint interfere with the sender. From what I've seen it looks like a nice unit, and came highly recomended from some people who already had hotlaps. The sender and display seem much smaller too.

Thanks!
David

What's the model? Do you have a link to it or where you bought it?
The simple IR lap timers all work off one sender and will not compensate for multiple adjacent senders (better to have one sender on the passenger side and one on the driver side) but the more sophisticated systems include a "block" timer that will pick up the first signal and ignore all other signals for a preset time (say 15 seconds to get down the front straight) to avoid multiple triggers.
