Default hollow spokes

I believe the hollow spokes have space around where the valve pokes through the wheel and is anchored, and solids do not.
Can someone substantiate?

Details on Hollow and Weight Chart.

Hollows are awesome - very light, yet durable.

Keep in mind our cars are only designed / engineered for 17s or 18s, not 19s.

@RonCT: Thanks for the info., but I'm having trouble interpreting the various numbers in the chart.

I have solid turbo twists on my C4S, and I thought I read somewhere that my front offsets are 50mm and rears are 42mm. Your hollow spoke details shows offsets of 52mm and 40mm. Are the hollows different than solids, or did I have the wrong info.?

Sorry to the OP for getting a little off topic here.

ken - short answer is 3-5 pounds difference per wheel (ron's chart shows per wheel weight in kgs)

Thanks. I know unsprung weight is important, but I personally can't justify the $1500+ premium for hollows over my solids, especially since I don't track the car.

I have two sets of turbo twist hollow core wheels, car came with silver set and I bought another set to have finished in black. The black really enhances the Guards Red. I bought the wheels refinished/painted black for $3,500 about 10 months ago.

This could be a new record high price for WB hollow twists:

Damn. That's impressive, I guess I'll put my set behind some display glass and velvet ropes.

Must be because they've been stored in a climate-controlled garage.

Yeah these are becoming a really valuable option- anyone know how many WB versus NB hollow spokes were made? I have the WBs on my car and a backup set of Cup 3's I use with spacers in the winter months
