Price check - Mint hollow spoke 993 TT's for Widebody -- how much is fair?
Just wondering... anyone sell a real nice set recently?
My OEM set is being refinished next week, to clean up some paint chips, and I am thinking I will go in the direction of Techarts or BBS LM's just to change things up some.
So I am wondering what the going rate is for a really nice set of these these days.. $1600 the set? $2000? $2400?
Thanks in advance for any helpful input.

Personally I'd lean to keep at least one set of factory wheels if of course space is tolerable, esp a set of hollow spokes.
$2500-$3K sounds about right if you do decide to sell.

I picked up a set of BBS RS-GT last fall with 225/295 and have the OEM hollows in my basement with the 225/285 tires on them. My car came with them, but when I bought it 4.5 years ago a PO had changed them for polished OEM solids. Found a set of great condition hollows at $900 and spent $400 refinishing just the outsides (insides were fine) and given how hard they are to find I won't ever give them up. I have seen some come and go recently in the $2800-3200 range.

I'm not in the market for a new set (I have two) but if i was, I'd rather buy them needing refinishing. Some of the shops that re-finsh don't do the color right which is why I have a spare set.

I'm with Al. Knock $700 off the price and sell them as is. The next guy can straighten and powder coat properly for $175 per wheel AFTER you ship them.
I also agree with Knight. Keep the wheels. If you ever sell the car, you will wish you still had them.

do appreciate all the helpful input on fair market value, it all converges nicely
the silver tt's are original, look absolutely classic, but i am lovin' the techart 1 look... first world problems and decisions...

While on this subject, how can a person determine if a set of turbo twists are hollow or not? Is there a number designation on the rims? While they are apparently lighter, it may be hard to tell unless there is one of each kind to compare weights side by side.

hollow wheel has a smooth backside (imagine a round straw with a hollow center)
solid wheel has big indented rib on its backside (imagine a steel i-beam)

THANKS! I have 2 sets of turbo twists, one on the car with street tires, and the others with track tires. They both felt heavy but I wasn't sure. Just checked, both and the back side is recessed at the edges with what feels like a rectangular bar in the middle. So I assume both sets are solid. Curious what the weight difference and price difference is on solids vs hollows.
