Default Heater Box vacuum lines

I recently took my heater fan off in the rear; and on the vacuum lines on the fan assy do I take them off or leave the actuator flap valve in the car? zip tied somewhere.

I took off the entire assembly and capped the connector where the line attached.

I took off the solenoid. The vacuum line runs to a splitter. Put the cap there.

Not advisable removing the fan, the engine uses it to provide ongoing engine cooling once the hot engine is turned off. Without the fan I am not sure if the flap and it's attendant actuator serves any purpose. Capping off the vacuum line is probably the way to go.
