Default DIY - How to get interior fan working again /w heater bypass tube

All,

If you have the rs heater bypass installed or removed the heater blower, the interior fan won't run unless you have the temperature set to the blue dot.

Searching through RL, one of the solution was to connect 12V to the G1 & G19 of the ECU. There is a relatively easy way to do this. Just make a jumper to jump pin 30 to 87 on the heater blower relay (relay 5) in the engine compartment fuse & relay box.

Below is a pic of the jumper (circled in blue). I only jumped one of the pin, but the interior blower seemed to work just fine.

neat, thanks. Would this faux relay (jumper) accomplish the same thing?

You are my hero, I just did this and it worked like a charm! I was regretting doing that tube because the defrost went to crap. Now I'm back to normal, thanks a bunch!

or, plug 964.610.184.00 in place of the original relay (& remove 30a fuse to disable power to the heater fan leads). Like this:

I just installed the rs tube, have not yet turned the car on. Is there a relay I need to remove since I am not running the blower anymore?

On the fuse box diagram, remove the relay labeled number 5 and put the jumper from pin 30 to pin 87. It's the horizontal middle slot on the right to the vertical middle slot on the left. Easy day. Make sure to pull the 30a fuse so the connector for the blower isn't hot.
