Does CD changer work with other head units?
Does a 993 with digital sound and 6-CDchanger work if i replace the head unit with my 60 watt Alpine?
I ask b/c Im thinking of upgrading to a TT and I've located one with 6-CD changer; I installed a great alpine into my C2 and would like to keep it and transfer it to the TT.
How bad is the stock TT 'premium digital sound system' - i hope its better than the normal stereo that came with my C2.
Would changing the head unit to the Alpine be an improvement w/o making other changes?

Currently has the stock OEM becker CD that came with a 97 TT under the "premium digital sound system, with stock 6-CDchanger".
I figure, Im going to carry around that extra box in my truck, it might as well hold and play some CDs...
