Love the PPI with seller responsible for remediation. Smart, and i'll use that approach. Thanks a lot.

Not really. I inspected a car there for another member and they seemed fine and had some very nice inventory. If it's the car you want you need to do your homework and you should be fine.

Do a google search on Lux Sport and form your own opinion. There is a lot out there.

The difference in the condition of the driver and passenger seat in the same photo (4th photo) is difficult to explain.

Just looked at a Turbo for sale, same year same milage basically. Drivers seat seemed similarly 'used'. That said, I do find it weird and will address it.

Found a great thread on Lux Sport on this forum. Highly informative and in that case at least a great experience. Even had a recco for a local place for the PPI. The question remains, and PPI may help define this further....is this a bit top heavy price wise? Feels like it might be.

So no good then? I can search for sure, but any experience that you could share would be valuable.

My seats at purchase 17k miles. Look "old", actually brand new condition, just heavy grain.

Plenty of info to find. I would never buy a car from them without a very, very thorough PPI and seeing it myself in person. Be careful, some people say that some of the shops near them are on their payroll so the PPI's from them can't be trusted. I would suggest searching here and on pelican to form your own opinion.

This is all good stuff.

RonCT - Those seat shots are amazingly helpful. They look very similar. I suppose that patina would vary depending on drivers weight etc.

Pirahna - I will get it an indy to PPI. Thinking local Porsche. I appreciate the info though. Good to know.

I had my 993 PPI'ed at the Porsche dealer local to the seller. The problem is that most techs that work at Porsche dealers don't know these air cooled cars well, so they missed certain things unique to the 993. It's still worth doing, but I'd rather have someone that knows the car well.

Be careful.....!!!!!!!!

The seats look incorrect for mileage to me as well.

Here is my takeaway/opinion from this car/dealer.

1. Other than Victory, they are the least trust worthy used P-car dealer. Don't take for granted anything they say.
2. In their Ebay ad, they list the car as having "17,000 miles" no less than 4 times. The odometer pictured shows "17,995." Why not just list the car as having "18,000 miles." Do they think they can get more for a 17,000 mile car vs. an 18,000 mile example. Just a window on how they operate.
3. Most incomplete Carfax I have seen. No history documenting mileage from new until 7 months ago. I simply don't believe the mileage on this car is accurate, based on the incomplete Carfax, wear on the seats, the engine bay and certain spots in the interior of the car. The only picture the dealer shows of "records" is an owners manual. Without documentation assume the mileage is much higher. To the OP, the odometers are known to fail on these cars and some short sighted owners simply replace them starting from zero. No proof here; just be careful.
4. From the Carfax, the one owner of the car from new until 9/15 seemed to reside in Katy, Texas, home to Rudy/Opo. I would contact this RLer and ask him if he has any knowledge of this car. He also knows the shops in the area; in the absence of records you might want to call around and see if you can find out who serviced this car.
5. The option code lists option "159," which is the motorsound package. The airbox in this car does not have the telltale silver trim. Again, easily swapped out however most enthusiasts swap this in, not out.
6. If you move forward, make sure you paint meter this car, as the seller states at least 2x the paint is original. At $72,000, it's priced for perfection.

Now..I could be 100% wrong on all my points...but I doubt it

Glad i bought my car long ago. Sure was less pressure when prices reflected value and were reasonable. Looks nice shape to me. Seat grain maybe a little dry, but i dont see a redflag with it. if it were wear youd see a much different pattern with rubbing and wear on the seat bolster and i dont see any. Same with steering wheel.
But its a high price for a narrow body and youd have a lot less risk losing money after 15-30k more miles on a higher mileage car for less money.
Good luck either way
