Does the screw hole align with an existing bolt behind the bumperette? Sorry, I haven't had mine apart before, but I assume that's why it's designed like that?

If attempting as a DIY, any prep tips or suggestions on a source or brand of paint & clear?

Yes, the topmost bolt aligns with the hole.

I do not, I used these and was relatively happy....

I've also had good results with Touch Up Direct. You can save a few dollars by just buying the paint, and using your own primer and clear coat.

There was no username on the payment from 'A.C' so I'm assuming that is you. Trying to match usernames to actual names is slightly problematic at times as you have no indication as to why somebody is known as they are on the forums.

You are 11th on the list.

These images just came from the fabricator. He's trying different orientations to see if he can get a better surface on the main trim but as you can see, there are mixed results on the ridges. disregard the scratches, they were caused by him physically tearing off the supports rather than dissolving in a water-bath.

I think we're better off with the current orientation.

Just take your time to get it right before "mass production". Thanks for your effort.

Right* for my car isn't quite as good for everybody else's. Though in fairness, these inserts fit Limeyboys car better than anybody's.

I was a little bummed out by the reorientated prints, I didn't realize it would have such a negative effect on the ridge.

Ah well! Back to the original orientation.

I think that the best way to finsih these will be to modify on the car and then sand down a bit, apply a coat of bondo on the trim surface and then refine that surface. Prime, paint, clearcoat. Drink beer. Throw Bumperettes in the trash gleefully.
