Per Geo's point, this sounds like a fuel delivery problem. If you can find a suitable container, remove the main fuel line at the engine and place it in a container. See if it fills the container when you turn the key to position 2. My guess is the fuel pump is the issue......

is it cranking slow or normally? What do the volts do while cranking?

Do you hear the fuel pump running?

You could try tapping the fuel pump lightly, but you have to lift the car to get there.

If you have an autozone nearby, you could try to get a fuel pressure gauge, thread it in where the schrader valve is, and see if you get pressure with the key on and while cranking.

I would get a jump-start to rule out a bad battery or connection. I know from experience 993 is very electricity hungry and needs ample voltage to keep the engine running.

The DME relay is what powers the fuel pump. The DME relay is a dual relay.
Located at the bottom left in this photo and has DME Relais molded into the top of the plastic case.

Fuse 26 (15A) feeds the pump.

Why don't you simply call the mechanic's number from Post #2 and get it taken care of?

Hi Alex

Thank You for responding!!!!
ok that confirms my thoughts - this is the relay. Thanks.

I have swapped out 3 DME relays - 2 oem. and one aftermarket.
No Go.
Tried boost - No start

Initially thought maybe fuel is entering But No start
Second try - I do not think any fuel got thru whatsoever

Fuse 26

IF I Count correctly from the Bottom Right and then up and then Left across there are 3 - 25 amp fuses, all Yellow
Is this the correct location>?

I pulled all three 25 AMP fuses and there ins No Apparent issue - seems good.
Ironically, there is No spare 25 Amp Fuse in the car

My car is a 97 carrera - c2 to some - Base two Rear wheel drive carrera

Thank you Alex
