Default 2016 Le Mans Classic Jul 8/10

Any 993 rennlisters going?

993 to "young" yet for the racing, but hope to see some in the paddock and on Saturday touring the track.

It looks like it's in July not June.

Hope no one booked their flights yet.

Will be going, it's only a 5 hour drive for me. Given the rather boring roads (highways) we'll probably not take the 993 (or 968 Club Sport) this time.
Some pictures for those who still need to be convinced of the fact that Le Mans Classic is, just like Goodwood Revival, one of the best classic car events

Default Classic car rental?

Hi,

Any one have pointers to a classic car rental firm in the "area"? I have a Friday track lap ticket, but need a "classic car" to use it

Can't carry on my P-car with Airline.

Already have tickets, grandstand, parking, bus track tour on Friday, and paddock pass from ACO.

Look forward to meeting fellow rennlist ears and the Porsche corral.

Cheers.

Default 1 day, then Saturday

We are flying in from the states, so making a week of it. If doing just one day, then Saturday would be the most "active" with afternoon and night races.

"Local" hotels will be the next challenge for an overnight stay.

For UK based folks, this may be helpful:

Look forward to seeing 993's in the club / marque parking areas and out on track for touring laps

Its that time again ..... ah 24 heurs du LeMans .... A good time had by all ...

Will not be making the trip, however have history of attending several years. I think it was 2001 or so that Audi took 1st, 2nd and 3rd finish line positions. The Audi dominated finish made for a great poster..

Have fun, travel safe.

Got hotel (Novotel), entry passes, paddock passes, Tribune 18 ACO grandstands, P BLANC parking, Saturday Vintage bus ride passes, and Tour De Piste (track lap) ticket on Friday 9am! Looking forward to a great event!

If any rennlist meet up, will try and make it. Will look for cars in paddocks. Weather looks promising, safe travels to all!
