Some minor fixes and the beginning of the slippery slope :)
So I finally found some time to do a few minor repairs and upgrade my lights to Tore HIDs. Upon delivery of my car a few weeks ago I noticed that my two 3rd brake lights had some bulbs out. I was able to order them sunset Porsche along with a new headlight unit, the dealer offered so graciously to replace. Anyway, this weekend I was able to get the job done. A piece of cake. I also order some additional parts to start the slippery slope. I ordered the Bilstein B8s with HR spring, RS motor mounts, Bumper protection bar from Carewal. Plus I picked up a pair of Fabspeed supercups from another RL member. The price was right, so I figured why not give them a try. If they are too loud for my liking, I can always pass them on to another member. Anyway, here are few pictures of my fun in the garage.
before:
Someone had already taken the 3rd brake light out before and must have broken it. The red plastic was broken in 3 placed and really just held together by the screws. Moisture probably got into it which cause the bulbs to blow. I glued them back together. The question is, will it last or will water get back into it. Might just have to replace the entire unit. Next time
Here is a picture of the part number for the bulbs. They are slightly smaller and a little less bright.
I finally found some use for the Lazer bond glue I bought from an infomercial let's hope it holds. The good thing it's on the back of the light, so you can't see it.
After shot. All lights working again.
I also installed the HID kit. Perfect fit and easy to install. Couldn't be any better. Here is comparison shot. They make big difference in night driving. We worth it.
Left HID right stock, looks much nicer.
And here is what is next. B8/HR, bumper protection bar, RS motor mounts and Fabspeed supercups.

They are the parking lights only. The replacement was only for the really small parking light not the actual fog light bulb, I believe that is what they call it. The actual fog light is still stock and yellowish and not on in the picture. Tore does not have a bulb option for the actual fog lights. Maybe someone has some recommendation. I think eventually I might go with Turbo ducts. Anyway, I think it just looks lighter. The LEDs are pretty bright.

The HID kit is from Bervill FX not Gert from Carnewal.
