Hi RL's
I've been having a problem with my immobiliser today; the battery in the key fob has expired and I can't get the car started. I've located my spare battery (L1022 9v) but in the confusion I took the old one out of the fob without noting the orientation. There are no +/- markings on the unit and I would prefer not to risk getting it wrong. Can anyone pop open their fob and take a picture of the battery in situ? The system I have is OEM but manufactured by Hamilton and Palmer. Don't know if it's UK specific, it is the rectangular, boxey design, apologies that I cannot upload a photo. Many thanks for any help,
M.

Possibly UK or EU specific; my car is a 1996 C2 although I know of at least three different types of Fob in use as OEM for 993s. I know this system was supplied by a UK company called Hamilton & Palmer. They are still operating (useful for spares) and work with a number of car manufacturers.
I can confirm that the immobiliser system is fully effective...
