UPDATE: We are going to try and get a firm number of buys to negotiate an even better discount than $100 off. If you are interested, add your name to the thread before Monday, 2/29/16.

So, after yet another 993 was stolen here from SoCal, the subject of LoJack came up.

I called LoJack and spoke to a sales rep about a group buy. He said he's willing to knock off $100 to any Rennlister who buys and has a LoJack installed before the end of the month, which is 1 week away.

The car must be an existing car you already own, and not a new car. LoJack won't work in all areas, so I suggest you call and ask. I don't work for, nor have any affiliation with LoJack at all.

The sales rep's name is Larry, and the code he'd like you to mention to get the $100 off is: LS100

Again, the system must be purchased and installed before the end of the month to get the $100 off, so if you're interested, I suggest you act right away. BTW, I have no affiliation with LoJack and get the same $100 off you do if I buy and install one before the end of the month.

Thanks for pushing this forward as I too am interested in Lojack. Online you can find $100 off for 1 unit (http://www.newcarslowestprice.com/lo...ountprices.asp) so let's see if Larry can do at least a little better for our group.

I'm definitely interested in this group buy and can pre-pay, but I don't have a new 993 to install it in as of yet. However, I plan on having LoJack installed once I make a purchase. Wondering if the deal can still apply to me (and why it makes a difference when the device is installed).

No idea, Mark. It's just what the LoJack rep offered me.

Anyway, as it stands, we have about 6 units so far on this group buy, so I doubt he'll better the offer of $100 off. That said, he was pretty quick to offer the $100 off, so perhaps that's an option for anyone who wants to try after 2/29.

I'll close this group buy offer on Monday 2/29, and see how many members we have committed to buy at that point.

Well, unfortunately, we only had 6 units to purchase, and it doesn't appear that will be enough to merit a Rennlist group buy.

But as RonCT pointed out, it's pretty easy to get $100 knocked off the retail price with some research or a call to LoJack customer service.
