If I figure a way, or you know of someone with a UPS freight account.....I have a set I will sell of the soft back sport seats for 993 in black, that needs upholster.
They need upholster because of the fire I had in my workshop and the seats were in a side storage room, but the wooden roof brittled to pieces and fell on everything, check picture.
I have the original pliers and stainless hooks to redo the upholstery, I can send with.
The upholstery has to be changed and the sponges washed and sun dried because of the smoke odor.
The seats are in a better shape than in the picture now,
If anyone has the courage to redo them, we'll work out a price
PM sent

Cool, if you have a lot of sport seats and you find a set for E30M3 , that would be swell.
If not, will work out something with M3

Numerous options to choose from here.... http://www.ladismantler.com/seat-finder/

Cant speak for the seats but I've ordered one part from them and was pretty happy.

The 1995 seats, did they really differ from the 964 seat or even the 930 seat? If yes was the difference the entire seat or just the cover as they all seemed so similar.

The only discernable difference between the 993 seat and the 964/944 seats that I am aware of is the stitch pattern. The seats are plug and play.

even back to the G50 and 951 sports seats, the bolstering and seat shape are all the same. the differences lie in the stitching patterns. to me, these are some of the best porsche seats ever produced.

I'm quite fond of the later 928 stitching pattern on the soft back sport seats. Here are some that have been re-upholstered. I find the "poofy" inserts lends textural contrast.

that first set is perfection!! i could do without the crest, but the color, inserts/pattern are just awesome. i forgot about the 928 seats, but they'd be a great option also. i agree that the more 'tufted' inserts of the 928 seats are great looking.

With a little TLC this pair of 944 sport seats will make a fine pair of softback sport seats for a 993. Plug and play. No affiliation. Oh, and Lart at Lart's Performance (a Rennlist Sponsor) can refurbish these like new.

Would people be interested in purchasing sets of the steel rods that form the sport seat bolsters? Obviously would require welding on to your existing seat and having a shop do foam.
