Uh, yeah.
It would be so subtle I doubt you could measure it on a data log. Maybe, maybe if you just beat a car on turn in at, say, Laguna T2 or T11 you'd see a couple degree difference on steering angle. T6 or T9? No way, no how until you're talking wheel-to-wheel level prep.

...like it really matters in DE world, never mind the street driving.
EDIT: btw, you maybe right in the end that wider tires cause more understeer in certain situations, but you are making a lot of assumptions and it's not black and white like your statement suggested.

I believe "stock" size are 265 rears (with 10" width wheels) and the alternate upsize are 285's. 295's and 305's are more typically matched with the 11" width rim from the 996 WB wheels. Not sure what the advantage is in trying mount tire widths wider than what is recommended by Porsche (same goes for 19" wheels).
NB stock with 18" is 265's 🤓
