So much information in that thread.

Interesting on those CR posts is what Bruce Anderson schooled me/us on from what they learned on the 935 engines back in the Garretson days. As Colin mentioned, no way, no how are we little guys really figuring out dynamic compression, but there were good rules of thumb to work with.

Later in the thread, it was noted that the high compression Mahle piston/cylinders are only for the 964 set.

What did I miss? Yeah, different rods (and cranks). But it's not like you're dropping in a P/C set on an otherwise stock engine you've only half torn apart. (Which has been done plenty, to disappointing results.)
