Can someone tell me what this gadget is/for? There's one on each side. I was changing cabin air filters and noticed this "sensor?" of some sort just sitting there in the opening. Perhaps the tabs are broken, but I just couldn't figure out a way to re-latch it- 1/4 turn CW/CCW. Any help is appreciated.

Mixer chamber temperature sensor. Vital part for regulating the cabin temperature.
It should be fixed with a self-tapping screw in the fan shroud.

Thank you Tore! Temp regulation works as it should. I'll secure it with a screw as suggested.
