Gerts LED's are night and day different to the standard festoon bulb supplied in the OE ducts, dont get me wrong, its just I found the 16x ones brighter, then the panel type even brighter. I think I tried 5 different LED types, in the end the panel one does it for me. Every change was slightly brighter than the last.
These will never be any good for anything other than side lights or DLR
If you want spot light projection to light up the road you need to go with aftermarket units that have the facility for a H3 type bulb, like the TRE ones.
Unlikely you will see them available anywhere in the UK though, sorry f1ava
The only real downside on the Type911 ones is that there is no wiring with them, although they do come with the spade connections that push straight into the plug socket on the loom. You will need to make up a short lead and crimp spades on each end, then tape them up, easy enough to do and completely reversible.
