Great story. Car looks great!

If you ever miss cleaning and polishing the bottom of a 993 I could always swing mine by

Many have asked but it was exhausting. That was hundreds of hours of work! I actually have had offers as high as $3000 to do that to other owner's cars. It is fun when it is yours but not so much when it is others!

That's what insurance is for, right?

Beautiful car.

I recall your keeping the 993 in near perfect condition, inspired me to remove and polish the exhaust system and cat on the '98 C4S I owned at the time.

Looking at those photos you reposted....looks like I'll be busy over the winter....well if the snow ever arrives in New England so I can stop driving the C2S!

Good luck & Drive safe!

Thanks! Be careful with the polishing. It is a slippery slope that never ends. I am about to start it on the Gallardo but the thought is overwhelming! :-)

great story I recall when you put your car for sale and I tried to get a local guy here who was looking to buy your car.
love the Lambo story... my buddy has one and let me drive it, cool car but way too much attention.
glad to hear you are getting things in order and enjoying life, especially with your kids.

Thanks! I really miss that car. I would love to find it again! The gentleman that bought it was a really nice guy. I lost the emails of our purchasing correspondence so I have no contact info. I would buy it back again if he was selling and the timing was right..

Thanks! We each have our own storms. Some are just bigger compared to others :-)

Default I thought 993 oil changes were a pain in the a--!

I watched as they did an oil change on my Gallardo today and had to laugh. I thought the 993s were a pain. The oil filter in these cars is ridiculous to remove! The Lamborghini mechanic warned me he would be crawling in the rear but this cracked me up! Looks worse in the picture but I must say he was careful. The filter is buried under throttle bodies, wiring, etc and the filter faces down so oil goes everywhere if you are not careful. He did not spill any oil which is a challenge. $575!

I would sell the car... That's ridiculous.
It's mind numbing the NB 993s have to move the rocker panel... But that's crazy.

You don't need to remove the rocker panel on a NB car. Simply remove the 2 screws and one nut nearest the rear wheel. This will allow you to drop the panel enough to access the drain plug and oil filter. Then simply wipe off the rocker panel when you're done.

I didn't say remove. I said move. And it's still ridiculous.

Lol, your oil change to sell car scenario is so irrational I love it.

Next time just go out and pick up the pizza and beer in your truck and I'll do the oil change for you so we don't have your car on craiglist for $19.95.
