Default Water in the car where is it coming from?

Hello, so recently bought a 993 and it's been garaged for the last 10 years or so currently I don't have a garage so it's been exposed to the rain.

Yesterday I got in it and noticed a bit of water in the corner of the passenger side of the window screen and today I went out for a drive and the passenger side floor was wet, very wet. Also wet was the area in the boot around the spare wheel and battery.

So I'm guessing it's the windscreen that's leaking, but how does that get into the boot area and is there any other things I should look at before I get the screen looked at?

probably some rust in the window channel.

or a coolant leak.

Looking through the receipts it had a replacement windscreen a few years back so could it be a badly fitted one that's leaking?

Coolant, haha.

could be either a badly fitted windscreen or, when the prior window was replaced and the adhesive scraped out, they scratched the paint, and it allowed rust to develop in the windshield channel.

I'd lift the seal and see if you can see any bubbling.

have had a look and can't see any rust/bubbling but there was water trapped in there.

could be an improper install then. Have you tried pouring water in the area and seeing exactly where its coming through?

I'd guess the first two are related and Quad had good ideas on that.

3rd one might be related, but look around for water up higher in the trunk to follow the path of the water down to the bottom (especially the corner near passenger due to other issue). Also, if you were driving in the rain, are all the plugs in the bottom of the frunk in place? You should see 1-1.5" long black rubber drain plugs hanging out the bottom of the car from underneath (3 or 4 of them).

This is not uncommon when one uses non-factory seals & glass.

Check the sunroof drain tubes as well.
