Valentine 1 & Customer Service
Many people think the V1 is the best detector but I'm not going to get into that.
Just wanted to post my experience with that all important issue Customer Service.
Last week I noticed the front arrow did not illuminate when radar was clearly in front of me. Called V1 and they said to send it in right away. They received it last Thursday and I got it back today. Fixed at no charge even though it's over 1 year old and out of warranty. They told me that it was a component failure, a diode, and I would not have to pay.
Not only is the V1 an excellent unit it is backed by excellent customer service. It's no wonder so many people like them.

I upgraded to the newer model (i had a 5 year old one) a few weeks ago. Sent my old one in (after paying a fee online) and in 2 days I had a brand new one with all new cords, clips, etc

I call Valentine customer service about once a year just to discuss current techologies. I am always impressed with their expert knowledge of radar products, and never provide any upsell for current products. Very well trained customer service personnel that wish would replicate more to some other firms.
