Post Litlle 2 min. favor needed...

So, I'm trying to fiqure out what's wrong with my oil pressure gauge (it's been like that all the time).

Could someone do a little favour and turn the power on and see where you oil pressure gauge needle goes (don't start the engine)?

Another words, how much under the first mark your needle is when power on, engine not running?

Thanks!

BTW,

The 'problem', idle pressure normal (operating temperature, ~800 rpm), ~2-2.5, when driving, usually shows 4-5.4 pressure, sometimes goes little over 5.

Even when I start it cold, pressure (when idling) is ~4, if I raise the revs, it won't raise, stays at 4-4.5 where it is when driving...

Anyone wants to sell a oil gauge?

Finn, my pressure gauge needle moves up just above 0 when turning the key to the accessory position (cold engine).

Thats what I was hoping for!!

Mine only moves up about 5-7 mm. (~ 1 bar) under the 0.

My thinkin (based on symptoms I have) was that my gauge shows constantly lower than what the pressure is (and then, for whatever reason, it shows the real pressure (when the needle jumped above 5) every now and then).
That's the way I fiqured it, and it seems that I was right.

Wasn't too worried, but this is little relief anyway.

Kitooos!! (= Thanks a lot in Finnish)

This again shows that w/ Rennlist, how simply it is to check & get help with many things Porsche.
