Post 993 Conversion to US Specs

Hello-

Would anyone happen to know some information on what the costs are for converting a 1995/6 993 from German Specs to US specs? I have already checked out the .gov sites and they dont tell me much as for specifics. Maybe someone knows some concrete info or can point me in the right direction. And if there are any DoD members that bought German spec Porsche and brought them to the States what did they do to get it converted. Thanks for any bit of information.

I don't think it's currently possible to import any European spec vehicles made in the 90s.

As 993 models are available here for $35k and the engine is a worldwide one anyway (can't remember if ROW engines have an air pump) what would be the point.

Several threads in the archives (use the "search" link top of page), here's the most recent:

Bottom line - it seems to be cost/hassle prohibitive.
