Looks like my 993 is going to make me over 500K
The title is a little misleading, it's not the car that's doing that but my desire of owning one since first seeing one at 7 years of age and I'll be 51 in December.
Anyway, ever since I was kid I always wanted a 911, they're just bitchen, btw I'm bringing bitchen back into style. So all throughout my teens and up until college I just drooled over them, but then went to college joined a frat and chased women, still don't know how I managed to graduate but that's another story.
Graduated, went straight into the bottom levels of business and worked my behind off. Around 27 or so fell in love was married for a whole 18 months. Went back to just pretty much being a playboy, and spending money as fast as I could make it. Then around 29 or so I saw the 1995 993 and immediately changed gears and fell completely head of heals over the car.
So at 29/30 what do you do? You go down to the dealer, do some test drives and you say, "I want that one", and what do they say, "You don't own a house, there's no way to get you financing". I put my tail between my legs and then what do I do, I bought a house, just so I could get the car of my dreams. A year later I walked into dealer with a 30K check made out to them for 1996 993. I think I paid 56K for it and over the course of nearly 20 years have been paid back in spades with just fun, excitement and driving pleasure, which there isn't a price one can put on.
Now fast forward to today. I'm moving to Croatia in the first quarter of next year and it looks like since I'm remodeling my house that after everything is said and done I'll have made at least 500K.
So thank you my little 993, not only have you made my driving dreams come true, you've also made other dreams come true. The ONLY thing left to do is get her to Nuremburg, to melt some tires and drive through Europe with a smile on my face.

Excellent! I need to share this with my wife to validate the new clutch and suspension for the car . . .
We took our 993 to Croatia this summer for our honeymoon and had a great time. When you make it up to the Nurburgring send a PM, I have a card with four more laps on it that I need to use before we move to America next year. 993s are very popular there.
