'95 and '96 were different, but don't know the manufacturers.

I looked at the OE radio I took out of my '95. All it says is Porsche CR-1, part no. 993.645.104.00, made in Japan. It's an AM/FM/cassette unit.

According to the original options fitted to my car (German market '95 C2) the car was fitted with Radio cassette Bremen RCM42.

Blaupunkt was out after MY94 and the Becker radios were not ready in time for MY95 so Porsche used Alpine for one model year. The cassette radio had Porsche on the faceplate and the CD unit had Alpine. Beckers were in all 96-98 993's.

Thanks for the info. So I assume Becker units will fit the 95 just fine...that is what I would like to do. Has anyone done this?

I have a cr-210 becker with "porsche" script for sale. It includes everything. Manual, sticker, lock code, din crate, harness, ect..
Hard to find one with all this stuff. Most are missing codes, and the cage and that will cost you a bit. I am selling as I just replaced w/ a navigaiotn unit. Unit looks new.
thanks

Yes, the Becker CDR-210 can easily be installed in a '95. See the following post for additional information.
