I'm back, did I miss something important?
So, I had a couple of weeks trip to Europe, did I miss something crucial?
Little news too, I sold my beloved 911...
It was beginning to be more and more evident that it needed restoration. Even though it had warm garage couple of rust spots that I found needed attention and since I wasn't able to instruct the repairs or do most of it by myself (I'm only there every now and then, few days at the time) I decided it was best to sell it.
I have to admit, when the new owner drove that georgous 911 away and I listened that 2.7 liter's crowl, I felt really bad.
I've already set my sights (in few years time to buy) a late 70's 930, I just feel that I need to have one older, pure 911 sitting next to my 993 one day and what else that old 930 could do that 'job' better.
Anyway, nice 'to be back'! I'm alrady anxiously waiting for PCA's DE at Moroso, naturally drove my 993 about 1 hour after I had landed!
Cheers to you all! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Thanks Guys!
mpm,
I was in Italy and Finland, business as usual. Had couple of days off in Finland.
I don't know if I should go to truck forum, I don't want to get frustrated...
Already read yesterday Panorama & Fred's praise about Cayenne and that made me mad again!

FF,
What part of Italy did you go to? If around Milano, next time let me know, and we can meet, since I am pretty close by!
As far as the Cayenne goes, I know how you feel. Those big SUVs are a pain on the road, and now when you rant against one, it might be a Porsche! Still let's hope Wiedekind's gamble pays off, because Porsche is extremely profitable now, thanks to the 996, and hopefully the Cayenne will not jeopardize the standing (financial - not the pain we old diehards have at seeing what the Porsche factory is going to start churning out...).
Something you might have missed: a Cannonball through Europe (Ferraris, Porsches, TVRs, Lotuses...)organized in London got zonked when going through Graubunden Switzerland . Heavy fines and some even drivers lost their licenses on the spot.

Phil,
I was in Venezia, Genova, Trieste and couple of other places in between (six days & five different Cities & hotels, it was pretty hard...).
So I wasn't too far from Milano but with these kind of schedules...
It would be defenately nice to meet, sometimes we have a spare weekend, when that happens, I'll let you know!
Didn't hear about Cannonball, seems that they keep their gas pedal planted...) and Cayenne news I'm happy to miss...
