Oil Quanity question resolution
P-Fans,
thanks again for the input on my oil quanity issue. After reading everyones input, I decided to let my car warm up with a very gentle ride. Having completed the ride I checked the quanity and it was indeed low. I spoke with the local Porsche service mgr. and he assured me the car was ok to drive and to bring it up to inspect. The put 4 qts of oil it! but he stated this wasn' t aproblem and that he'd seen cars come in taking 6 qts. he also stated that if the car was dangerously low there were enough warning lights to get the message across not to drive the car. What torques me is I paid an out of state dealer to do a PPI and they stated all fluid levels were normal. (we checked for leaks, the lower tray was intact and dry)So a follow-up phone call is in order to that dealership.
Anyhow, the cars great, I feel better and as always, appreciate the shared knowledge we have amongst this group!
Safe driving,
Jeff
