Ideas for tape tray
I'm sure there are lots of ideas for replacement of the tape tray -- please share a few and the vendors that may have the parts necessary. Cup holder?

Hi Jeff,
I have done a couple of things to my 993 thanks to the list.
1 - Replaced the cassette holder (if that is what you mean by tape tray) with a replacement black holding dish. It consists of two Porsche parts.... One is the plastic console cup : Part Number 964552159001DB and the other is the rubber bottom Part Number 99355209100.
2 - You can add a cup holder easily using a Passat Cupholder. I have done this...works great! To to a VW Parts dealer and order it : Part Number 3A1 862 531. It clips on the side of the center console.
There are threads on both this solutions. Take a look!
Cheers,
Mike

I too have gone with the Passat holder, works great but the rubber trim that adjusts to the size of the cup is starting to come off - still works good though.
No affiliation but you can see other versions for Porsches as well as the factory Utility Tray replacment at www.cupholder.com
