Right. They either were able to pull the code from the immobilizer or set a new one. I'm not sure which.

You now have the correct code, i.e. the latest code, so the immobilizer can now
be programmed by you or someone else (dealer) if a new remote needs to be
programmed/added, right? Hopefully, no other 993 remote can lock/unlock
your vehicle nor start your vehicle. You've tested for this, right? But since the
immobilizer has been bypassed, once the vehicle is unlocked the vehicle can be
easily started.

Yes, I asked for the code in case I need to add more fobs. Any fob with the correct code can unlock the car. Without the immobilizer, you can always start the car with the correct key.

So you now have a different code than the original code?

Actually I don't know if it is the same code. I need to dig up the dealer provided code to compare. No, I didn't provide the original code.
