OK, so H&R springs will lower 1.5" right? Is that all I need to do?

$1826 includes the ROW Swaybars. $1700 from Bimmerparts does not, I believe, although Bimmerparts sells the US version PSS9 which does have the hats and lifetime warranty.

More on point, the cheapest way to properly lower your car is the H&R spring kit plus Bilstein HD shock kit for about $1350. The problem I am having is that I can get a PSS9 system (w/o sways for an apples to apples comparison) for only $225 more, which seems like a better value.

Like others says, go with PSS9. I went through the same dilemma when I had Eibach/stock shocks combo. I noticed the shock went out after about 8k miles. Then I was thinking of replacing with Bilstein HD which cost about $1k but then I found out I could get PSS9 for around $1500 so I went ahead with the PSS9 rather than Bilstein HD.

I do wash my car myself though.
Scary to think how fast Fred will be leading through the canyons once he gets his suspension squared away!

I know this has been discussed before, but we seem to have several people on this thread that have actually made the change from aftermarket springs to Pss9:

What is the difference in ride between the H&R/Eibach/ROW030 and Pss9 set fairly soft? That is the big question in my mind.

FWIW, I'm leaning toward the Bilstein HD/RoW M030 or Bilstein HD/H&R Sport springs because my use is primarily street, with the occasional DE. For street use, I am inclined to defer to the Porsche engineers' determination of handling balance rather than try to find the best balance, through the PSS-9 adjustments, on my own. If I were using the car on the track a lot, I would go with the adjustable setup.

Greg: That is my question too. I want it to ride on rails through the canyons and during quick lane changes on the fwy, but not compress my spine over the normal bumps and rutts found on our streets. My car will never see the track (well maybe never).

Just give us a little more time to work on you... hehe.. You'll crack sooner or later... If we don't get you to go to the track, at least we'll get you to do some mods.
