Default 993 Déjà vu

I sold my '95 Polar Silver Cab 3 months ago, the third one I've owned, and I regretted it immediately. I envisioned shopping for another within the year, maybe even going with a MY09 to try a modern Porsche. I found two 997.2 models nearby - one a manual and one a PDK. I drove the manual and pretty munched couldn't stand it as compared to what I was used to after 10 years of 993 ownership. Then I drove the PDK and liked it a lot to be honest. But then my very car I sold went up for sale by the boutique dealer I had sold it to, but all the things that had bothered me had been repaired. So I bought it back. Am very happy. Has any one else done this?

Congratulations!
You recognized the 993 value proposition.
Enjoy it with a fresh pair of eyes.

Never done that, no, but it's a good "grass is not always greener" lesson.

Certainly says something for the "mark" - could be an expensive way to repair your car?

Did you buy it back for the same money you sold it?

Great story - I'm glad for you that you were able to get it back. I almost got my last airplane back that I should never have sold - what an idiot !!

Unfortunately the idiot owners managed to run it off a runway and turn it into an aluminum ball of scrap before I could get it back.

I paid a little more, compensating for lots of little repairs, oil and tires. Pretty fair deal. But the "mistake" cost me some money and 1000 miles on the car.

Scientifically, the grass is greener on the other side because your viewing angle is more oblique, therefore you actually see more green than you do looking down.
