Tired of burning my leg on the drivers side door sill
#16
There's heat on the passengers side, it's just that the drivers side is scorching hot and passengers no where near that. I never said anything about no heat on that side, at least not intentionally. Sorry for any confusion. Takes about 30 min to fully get that hot, since most of my trips are shorter than that it doesn't happen too often. I'll take a look at the heat dump valve, hopefully there's an issue with the flapper mechanism. And yes my car is broken, always seem to be working on something but what do you expect with nearly a 20 yr old car. Thanks everyone

I may be off base here but the A/c High and Low pressure lines run the length of the drivers side
door sill ,if your air was constantly running I would be more inclined to look at the excess heat being produced by the high side pressure line which will be very hot to touch...Bert

your driver side heat control box is broken, the one under the engine.
You can safely disconnect the tube going to the cabin, but it is important that the heat box throws heat to the ground, and not to the rear of the engine compartment, especially if you have the engine tray on.
Remove the left heat control box, and try to repair the rubber butterfly that orients the hot air to the floor, or to cabin.
If broken, I think I have one somewhere.

Maybe you need to...Wait for it.............................Detoxx? Kidding of course!
Looking under the rear of the car, the flux capacitor flapper dump valve is one of the first visable components!
