Post Carbon Fiber Mirrors

Thought you might enjoy these -- they are fully electric and heated.

Thank you. There are numerous weaves and this one and laying it up in this manner was thought out -- also notice that the required seam due to the mold is not in the middle!

So when are you doing the door handles or better still, carbon fiber door skins? Or did I miss those posts already?

Nothing personal but I think those are the ugliest mirrors I've seen. Besides, how many ounces do you save over the stock plastic ones? The stock ones are plastic aren't they?

Robert, those mirrors are perfect, but they don't go with the color of that car. Ship them to me so I can show everybody how much better they look on an Arena Red. Besides, I think it is unfair of you to keep posting such lovely stuff when we can't have it.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Personally, I like them -- particularly with this green. As to weight savings, they do save a few ounces over the plastic mirrors and they are more resistant to stone chips than painted mirrors. As to carbon fiber door skins, as these are very easy parts to do, for this exercise, I have not done so. There will, however, be a hood completed in the next month that is being done using a variety of sophisticated techniques so as to exhibit an extremely high level of quality and weight reduction for this type of component. Finally, carbon fiber does not lend itself to the shape of the door handles. Handles machined from plastic with pocketed aluminum triggers have been done and pictures follow -- weight saving is more than one pound each.
