S3, I bought my black 1996 C4S four weeks ago. I put 2000 miles on it so far (weekends only) and have enjoyed every one. You will love it. Great choice.

Ok, so I'm totally biased

I wish I had the guts to get a red one. I went ultra conservative...
C4S's look so hot in red.
I drove mine 750 miles the first day I got it, as I had to drive it home from Chicago in the dead of winter.
I really love mine - it's only been 4 months for me.
I keep forgetting to use 6th gear on the highway - it's weird having that extra gear after owning my 88 911 for 5 years and only having 5 gears.

Thanx for all the replies. Great forum, loads of information. This was one of the deciding factors for my purchase.

The car has a FVD chip and sport exhaust. Has loads of low down grunt. Great car.

Congrats! You will just absolutely love the car. All 993s are great, but personally I really like the wide a$$ of the S an the AWD.
