Congrats on the GT3 Viken, may I ask what color? (yellow? )

I saw Viken's car in person last year, and I can attest to the true statement above

As I was driving back from Denver last week in my truck, towing my new enclosed 20' car hauler , a silver one blew by me with Florida plates on it. We were on I 70 in the stretch between Vail and the cutoff to Aspen, Very nice twisty part and it looked like he was having a blast. I tried to keep up but the ol 351 couldn't do it.

Pete, lookin' for a Diesel.

Just thought I'd chime in and second 'Pin's assessment of Viken's car. Its gorgeous and exceptionally well-optioned. Someone is going to be a very happy new owner . . . .

All the best with your sale and subsequent purchase. I had planned to do the same with my '97 C4S. At the end, I was able to buy a 996TT for a couple of thousand more, so I opted for it instead. I felt that the GT3 was going to be a little too track oriented for a sometime daily driver in my area.

FWIW, my car sold to a fine gentlemen from Portland for your asking price. Both cars were nearly identical. Where you had stereo system, I had extra wheels (Kinesis Supercups) and track tires. I also installed new tires of the buyer's choice (Michelin Pilot Sport Rib). I think that you should easily get your price if you find an informed buyer who can appreciate the gearbox and flywheel change. My buyer knew what those items cost and was amazed at how it changed the performance of the car.

I guess I'll have to hang out at the 996TT board and change my signature block.

Cheers,

DAM!! Congrats on your new GT3....Nice color.
And as somebody up there mentions...there is gonna be some happy C4S owner.
(I bet everybody is drulling on the "European Close Ratio Transmission" among other things) I can add to this that Porsche made a mistake on installing a different gearbox for the U.S. -my experience without ever driving a 993 with a ROW Gearbox....I took my car on a spirited drive on a twisty road and really don´t find good sincronization (if that´s the word) from 2nd gear to 3rd....you loose a lot RPM´S on the usefull powerband and find yourself either driving it hard on 2nd or wimpy on 3rd ....
If I would of seen this when I was on the market.....but well I´m a happy C2S owner .

I've gotta ask... do you have a 360 Modena in your garage too?
Nice work!

Congratulations Viken. What a beautiful automobile. Autoweek just did a 'thing' on the new GT3. Hurley Haywood spoke on the cars performance. Very nice (that doesn't describe it at all well, but I'm not very eloquent tonight. Or ever. ).

WOW!
