Hi, my name is Nick and I'm from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. I'm a car guy and I've got a 996 GT3, E36 M3, R32 Nissan GTR, 335 Wagon (daily) and most recently I've been lucky enough to snag a 1997 993 Carrera S. It's an auto in Zenith Blue, has around 60k miles on the clock and it's in near new, and totally original condition. It's had the bottom and top ends re-built so is a dry car with little to nothing that needs doing to it other than driving and gazing upon it. I have to say it's one of the most beautiful objects I've ever seen, and driving it is a real pleasure. It's got a very relaxed and laid back nature because of the geabox (I've got enough fast cars that make you want to drive aggressively) and sounds great, is nice and torquey and actually is quite quick for what I'd call a cruiser.
I've only driven it a couple of times but I'm looking forward to getting to know it better. I'm very impressed with the ride quality, and how flamin' solid it feels considering it's nearly 20 years old.
I gather you can't set your profile up properly until you pay $$ on this forum?
See you all around this forum and possibly the 996 GT3 sub-forum.
Welcome and very nice car(s) except what is with the steering wheel.
Hi bob, not sure what you mean by the wheel. Here are some other images so you get a few different perspectives. Clearly it's a tiptronic with the buttons....

Nick, it's a joke about right hand drive in your part of the world. Lol!
Yeah that screws me up in Hong Kong every time! Shifting with the left hand was challenging.
Beautiful car Nick. Zenith blue is hands down my favorite color, and in a C2S no less! Welcome to the Forum. Look forward to seeing more posts from Down Under.
Thanks for all the kind replies. I certainly feel like it's a special car. It's been a hoot to drive today, but surprisingly it's how the cabin feels that is the standout. It's so spacious feeling, yet so compact in reality. Great visibility. Drove it in torrential rain (not ideal) and it was really easy.
