993 uses a very small volume of refrigerant. It's tough to get it right with the quality gauge set-up. Consider going to an Indie for the evacuation and charge after you make your repair. Probably work it.

You should evacuate the system by pulling a vacuum after the repair is complete. Filling the system varies with ambient temperature and readings should be taken with the engine running at 2000 RPM, fan on max and recirculate.

Here are specs for a couple of ambient temperature levels with ranges of acceptable low and high:

Ambient temp= 77 degrees
High Side Low psi - 145
High Side High psi - 218
Low Side Low psi - 9
Low Side High psi - 16
Low Temp in Center Vent - 45F
High Temp in Center Vent - 52F

Ambient temp= 86 degrees
High Side Low psi - 218
High Side High psi - 290
Low Side Low psi - 9
Low Side High psi - 16
Low Temp in Center Vent - 45F
High Temp in Center Vent - 52F

Pulling a vacuum on the system after repairs are made is critical to ensure the integrity of the system and to remove moisture. Otherwise, you may lose your charge and have to repeat. The sticker says 1.851 lb or 840g., presumably at STP. As others have posted, the amount is critical. Too much or too little will affect performance.

I do not fill by pressures. I believe the best way is to fill by weight in my porsche it's 1.852 lbs.
fill into a vacuum as stated above.
