Default selling advice for my 993

Sadly, I am facing the impending sale of my beloved 993. (Buying 958 CTT) Looking for some advice on market value for higher mi 993...here are the particulars -
96 c2, 130k mi. I have owned for 13 years (3rd owner- all local).
Solid mechanically, no rattles/squeeks, paint is original, no accidents, no dings/dents, interior good condition.
Factory options - limited slip diff, motor sound pkg, oval tips.
UPGRADES-(last few years)- MY02, M030 , Bilstein HD,Turbo sways, strut support, lower control arm bushings, HID Kit, complete tune,
ISSUES- brakes down to 20%, Small oil leak, several bad pwr seat switches.
Car has been locally owned for her lifetime,,, first 100k services were done by Porsche. I have done most of maintenance myself since the previous owners. high miles from prior owner commuting as daily driver.
I have only ran her for pure weekend joy!
attch are a couple of pics.
thanks in advance
-Scott

Nice car, but isn't this a thinly veiled For Sale ad??

They always are. This one even has pics included. Great way to save $16.95 too.

Seriously!? Forgive me if I have broken protocol, but I haven't been on the site in a few years. From what I recall, posters have often asked for pre sale opinions. I would gladly pay 20 bucks alone, for what I consider valued opinons. I'm not playing stupid here!

Welcome back to Rennlist. We have become a codgy cynical sort. No fault of your own but we have been abused recently and now seem to immediately debase people when they start threads like this.

Firstly, I would suggest you look through the thread at the top of this section about 993 prices and look through the for sale section for other 993's. As for the issues you listed stock brake pads are cheap - buy a set from Sunset Porsche out of Oregon and remove this as an issue (I would not even want to be in your car with only 20% brake pad life). You can also buy seat switches ad DYI this repair, but are you sure it is the switches and not the seat cables? Lastly, oil leak. They all leak . Where is it coming from and how much - also how much oil does it burn in quarts per 1,000 miles.

Do some research, buy a membership so the yahoo's will stop beating up your thread, and then join the Facebook group 993 Rennllister's - ask this same question over there and you will get a much better response. That said, do post this car for sale on Rennlist and give us a chance at it - I really hate when these cars go to dealers.

ridiculous statement of the day...congrats.

OP, do some research...use your head. ebay sales prices, other listing prices, auction data, etc etc.

Only you know what your car is like.

Scott, the deal here is you have to be a member to post a for sale ad. Helps keep the place running. Lots of people before you have attempted to get around this policy with "what do you think my car is worth?" threads that are in fact for sale ads, a practice which irritates the people (including me) who play by the rules. So that's what you've walked in to.

Up to you.

Looks like a nicely equipped and properly lowered car. No mention of the nice after market shifter, bezels around the gauges, clear corners - has RL appeal. "Complete tune" within "last few years" is not helpful. Tell us what was done, and when. Definitely fix the seat switches. Suggest you get a PPI to pin down the leak (perhaps even a leak down test), and this should sell for between $35,000 and $45,000 depending on condition and your patience. GLWS - this Forum is the best!

You drive and maintain your cars like you want and I will do the same. Also, thanks for repeating what I said about research - brilliant you are! Are you fed original thoughts or have to do some research of your own to come up with one? Super User - what a douche bag.

Looks like a nice, honest 993. If valve guides have never been done, probably would sell in mid $30K range. There are never many manual C2 coupes for sale.

yeah, trouble is the OP's car isn't yours and making asinine statements like you wouldn't ride in a car with 20% brake pad life remaining is, in fact, ridiculous.

The only thing correct around your post was the research, so terrific, we agree.

Original thoughts on a pricing thread? What world do you live in?

And, the dig at not being a member, like that makes any difference.

wow, douche bag? very clever. Listen child, wipe that sand out of your hooha and get over your fear of mildly worn brake pads.
