SAI CEL, after SAI fix

So I had my mechanic perform the SAI bypass valve replacement (the diverter was clogged). I also had him clean my SAI ports. However they were completely clear with no issues. He buttoned everything back up and cleared the codes with a generic reader. CEL cam on almost immediately. I got home and cleared it with my Durametric. Today my wife says its back on again. Did we miss something? Mike
As others have posted, how do you know they are clear? Unless your mechanic dropped the engine, took off the heads and bored out the passages, they are most likely nowhere close to clear.

I did the whole procedure myself twice and it still took a while to get all flags reset and stop getting CELs.

Also found an unrelated vacuum line off under blower motor. After getting sufficient access removing some of the blower motor hardware, I was able to reconnect, reset the code, and its been SAI code free for 10 days now, maybe 250 miles.
I'm pretty sure this was coincident -- or might have caused the initial codes in the first place -- the SAI diverter valve was clogged, but none of my internal lines were.
