OT: First snow day in Atlanta !
We are getting hammered with snow right now in Atlanta. First snow day of the season and it happens to be the first working day of the year.
Drove the B-car today to work instead.

I just got back from, you guessed it, 4 days in Buffalo seeing wifey relatives. Our Southwest flight from Barfalo to San Diego was cancelled on the 26th, and they told us that they would no longer honor our Rapid Rewards tickets, as the 27th through the 30th were black out days. We got back the next day through Rochester, NY via United. Unbelievable snow 7+ feet in 4 days. What a rat hole!

Because of that (or so they claim) Delta Airlines canceled my fligh! I've been in Belgium for a week and we had snow every single day... Even here it didn;t stop planes from landing!
Hopefully they'll leave tomorrow

Dude,
Looks like you will be stuck there for another day. Because the snow is getting heavier and it is going to be like this all night.
I have already made an announcements to my employees that tomorrow they may not need to come to work.
While you are at it stay warm and eat another Belgium waffle for me there. :P

Get some proper shoes for the P-car & you won't need to settle for the beater (that is what you meant by "B-car" isn't it?)

LOL! That's a good one.
I was under the assumption that it was "Bimmer = Bummer"

If us South'ners need any excuse to go AWD ala Porsche (even Caynenne!?!), a dusting of snow is a good one. {"Fight the Unintended Effects of Global Warming : Buy Porsche!"} We already have good non-Winter reasons; hurricanes, tornados, dubious back-country roads, swamps, hunting expeditions...

Hey Robin,
I've been watching it on the tube and you guys are taking a beating. Sorry to hear that you can't go to work...? really?
I finally got to witness a 'white out' last month in Tahoe. It was unreal! never seen one before... I had to learn how to drive slow all over again.
Someone backed up into our SUV and popped the rim of the tire then our replacement Blazer got a crack windshield from the snow plower. 2 rental cars in two days.
Anyway, if you need some sun and surf, I'll send it up right away....:0)

What the hell is going on with the weather? Here in Vancouver, Canada there has been no real snowfall this year while the southern U.S. gets it bad. The way it's looking, the city will save a bundle on snow removal this winter...which will go into a 'slush fund', heh heh.
