Bumper Plugs
I have just received custody of my 1st! It's a 95 Polar Silver, and I would like to clean up it's nose. I see bumper plugs for 996 and Boxter but nothing for 993's. Can anyone help?

You have touch-up paint? Then just go down to the nearest hardware store and pick up some plastic plugs in the hardware section (nuts, bolts, etc.). Glue them on with some RTV glue. Worked fine for me.

Does anyone make 'plugs' for the holes on the front bumber? (If bumberettes are removed). I know the rear cover, but isn't there anythin for the front bumber?

I have thought of taking the bumperettes and having them painted body color. Has anyone done this? Cost? I may do this as it would surely make them stand out less.

Folks, I didn't like the look of the bumperettes on my 968. The euro cars don't have them and the appearance is much nicer. I replaced my bumperettes with euro front indicator lenses which fill in the space where the bumperette is. Surely it's the same for the 993's? I got mine through Schatzmotorsport. Hope that helps.

Guys:
Voila! Front bumperette holes filled in, TechArt Euro fog lights and integrated front brake cooling kit. (Still looking for grommets to get rid of the small license-plate bracket holes)

Thanks for the referrals folks. FYI, we make a number of products that might work. All our plug line works in the 993 and 911, from '89 to present.
If you have any questions, please contact us by phone, fax or email under the contact tab on the website.
The plugs we produce and sell worldwide have an exclusive finish using proprietary paint chemistry that is the exact same paint and same finish achieved in the factory. It takes weeks to produce, and you cannot get this finish using touchup paint.
Let me know if you have any questions. We support this board as a board sponsor as well.

On a 993, as you are probably aware, the euro lights do not get rid of the slots left by the bumperettes. You can have them filled in and painted or buy the euro bumper cover. Those are our options.

Hank,
That is what I thought but someone posted that they did. I bought a used 993 bumper that I am going to add the RS splitter to, it has to be painted and I will just have them fill in the notches made to accomodate the bumperettes.
Are you going to be at Sebring? What about the Porsche BMW Owners CLub race in March? I know you will be at RA for the PCA event. I am going to do my best to be there also.

Greg:
I am very undecided about what to do this year. I will do the RA PCA event and am planning on Roebling Road event in about a week. I also want to run the Road Atlanta TracQuest event on Sunday in the RS. I have not decided on Speedvision or anything else. I am concerned about the finances of racing and the my current slim backlog of clients. Hopefully, I am worrying about nothing, but I would rather play it conservatively now and have fun later!
I hope to see you soon. Are you coming down for the TracQuest event?
