Happy New Year, everbody. Safe driving, and remember, "slow in, fast out"...
We've more snow this year than the past years here in Switzerland, so that I had to resort to switching to winter tires and the old Porsche 17" wheels, since I drive my car daily. Anxiously awaiting Spring and my RS Speedline 18" wheels...

Happy New Year to all and thanks for all the priceless help. A few photos I took today and some I dug up of my old car (a real beast which u may not be familiar with in the states?)

mags993tt,

TVR Griffith? Why the Bridgestones on the rear and something else (Conti's?) on the front?

Yup 5 litre Griff HC. Well spotted on the tyres - fronts were the (pretty worn)original Michelins that came on the car from new. The rear Michelins, though very sticky in the dry, were an absolute joke in the wet (like wheel spin accelerating in 3rd gear - High Compression model with 350HP and 350lb/ft in only 1000kg rwd car and only 235's in the back)- I didn't really mind - just made wet weather driving a little more fun as it wasn't a daily driver. When they needed changing during a routine service I was informed by the official TVR dealership that they no longer stocked the Michelins and indeed weren't allowed to stock them or put them on the car (I think there had been quite a few wet weather incidents) and standard equipment was now the Bridgestones. I went with those out of curiosity more than anything else and they were indeed much much better in the wet (car started understeering in the wet!!! which is an unheard of TVR trait..) but not nearly as good as the Michelins in the dry and didn't look as good either (though they were 235's there's no way they had the same contact patch as the 235 Michelins which were much squarer and therefore looked a lot fatter from behind...) Anyway...Totally different animal from the 993tt!!
